what happened to the new zealand national anthem singer????
if Geoff Sewell heard that bit on the New Zealand anthem he would have jumped off a bridge. i bet $100 on that.
this guy did not sing a single word of the pakistani anthem correctly. in all of south africa, couldn’t the icc find 8 natives to sing their respective anthems. this is plain insulting. well done icc, you have once again proven your incompetence.

I agree with you …the singers seem trained in opera singing and have beautiful voices ..the good thing is to listen to the National anthems in new tones and different accent .
My dear *mahwishsidra*, here the matter is not a victory OR defeat. But the channel, who up loaded needs appreciation. It paid respect to the National Anthems of Pakistan & NewZelands, who are playing 2nd Semi-final of ICC Champion Trophy 2009- A Historic moment- and it has been up loaded from ongoing match. Thanks for the forward, Khalid Bhai. The man who sang the Pakistani anthem and the woman who sang the N.Z one must be both Opera stars. The man especially seemed to be singing as if to an opera house audience. Very beautifully sung, despite his often unintelligible Urdu pronunciation.
I can’t explain how good I felt to listen to Pakistan’s National Anthem …and of course National Anthem of Newzealand …Mr.Khalid Asghar is right about preservation of the Anthems ,sometimes people are looking for such things but cannot find .
