This must be the million th q on this. for God’s sake man why can’t we move on.??? the India govt had granted visas…that too on a very short notice to these players. there was no directive from the govt or BCCI. the franchisees couldn’t risk taking them because some vested interests in India were unhappy with your nation. What is a few millions to people like Afridi & Co. As to talent everyone is aware of it. Go in peace, sir.

May be we do not understand the nuances of the business end of all these buy and sell players deals. The best is to support and root for your team when the matches are on and enjoy the game.

Jesus Christ went for a football match and when one team scored he was the biggest cheer leader and when the other team equalized again He began cheering. His neighbor in the stands asked him hey buddy whose side are you on and the Lord replied” The football side of the game”

A lesson we need to learn.

IPL: Pak legend Javed Miandad says t20 a virus and India a dictator

The most dangerous batsman of his time and more importantly remembered by the Indians for hitting Chetan Sharma for a six to in the very last ball of the final to win the Austral-Asia Cup in 1986, revealed his views and opinions on t20 cricket as he believed it is damaging the sport along with India.Talking to AFP, the Miandad said: “Twenty20 cricket is a virus and if the ICC doesn’t restrict matches of this format it will finish Test cricket as leading players will no longer want to play for their country.”
He also added that: “When Twenty20 cricket started I had smelled this format will damage cricket, now the game will not see quality players as they are now more attuned to play the big-hitting game than the traditional and classical way. With the introduction of Twenty20 leagues, the notion that ‘country comes first’ is also hit for six because when there is a choice between national duty and more money, players will choose money.I sincerely pray that T20 cricket is restricted, otherwise the game will suffer badly.”

Miandad also commented on the recently concluded IPL Auction Controversy as he said that Pakistan Players shoud not worry about playing in IPL as country comes first. But he believes that India is becoming a dictator of World Cricket and he fears that if India is not stopped at this point of time then the consequences are going to bad in near future. He wrapped up the Interview by saying: “I fear a day will come when world cricket will be run by India alone, so I fear if Australia, England, Sri Lanka and the West Indies don’t realise this, world cricket will be at the mercy of India.”
It seems that Miandad who is known for many famous incidents is not at all happy with the format of t20 and surely not with India. We hope he does something to revive the game rather than talking big in front of the media.

Get used to it. India has a chip on its shoulder the size of the sub-continent. Instead of showing the way as the no#1 cricket nation, they are wasting their money and misusing their influence to try and get square against those of whom they consider have wronged them in the past. In time they will mature in their leadership and realise that they need the rest of us a lot more than we need them! In the meantime, the rest of us had better learn to deal with the fact that India is the no#1 cricket nation and it won’t change any time soon.

Yes it’s a travesty of monumental proportions.
    India’s shame
