New Zealand came into this tournament looking at it as a chance to sample subcontintental conditions in the build-up to the World Cup but, in Dambulla, they found a track with plenty of swing and seam, unlike most pitches in Asia. They even went into their first match with a distinctly un-subcontinental bowling line-up, having no frontline spinners. Scott Styris had talked about the ‘lack of respect’ from the opposition and the media ahead of the tournament, but after their 200-run demolition of India, they won’t be taken lightly by Sri Lanka.Watch Srilanka vs New Zealand Live Cricket Streaming Online Broadcast August 13

Sri Lanka are a tough team to beat at home and are the only side in this tournament with something resembling a full-strength squad. They will be using the tri-series to assess their lower middle-order: Thilina Kandamby and Farveez Maharoof have been axed, while Chamara Silva and Thisara Perera have been recalled after solid performances on the A tour of Australia. It will be an important tournament for Ajantha Mendis as well, returning to the squad after being left out of the Asia Cup.Watch Srilanka vs New Zealand Live Cricket Streaming Online Broadcast August 13

For those interested in the ICC one-day rankings, the next week will be an exciting one. With only six points separating five teams, there could be four different teams officially rated as the world’s second best in the next few days. New Zealand parked themselves in the No. 2 spot two days ago, but a loss on Friday will send them sinking to fifth.

Form guide
(most recent first)
Sri Lanka: LWWWW
New Zealand: WWLLL

Watch out for…
Martin Guptill has been a regular with the New Zealand team for more than nineteen months, and in a top order containing newcomers like Peter Ingram and Kane Williamson, the responsibility on him increases. He has also had a bit of a lean run, not making too many runs in the five one-dayers against Australia, and New Zealand will be desperate for him to return to form.

Several members of the New Zealand side have never faced Lasith Malinga and his slingy action, which makes his yorker-and-bouncer mix even more dangerous on Friday.

Team news
Jacob Oram is a doubtful starter due to a hamstring problem, though a final decision on his availability has not been taken yet. BJ Watling is recovering from a stomach bug and, if fit, could be handed a one-day debut.

New Zealand (probable): 1 Martin Guptill, 2 Peter Ingram/BJ Watling, 3 Ross Taylor (capt), 4 Kane Williamson, 5 Scott Styris, 6 Grant Elliott, 7 Gareth Hopkins (wk), 8 Jacob Oram/Nathan McCullum, 9 Daryl Tuffey, 10 Kyle Mills, 11 Andy McKay

Sri Lanka (probable): 1 Upul Tharanga, 2 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 3 Kumar Sangakkara (capt & wk), 4 Mahela Jayawardene, 5 Angelo Mathews, 6 Chamara Kapugedera, 7 Chamara Silva/Thisara Perera, 8 Suraj Randiv, 9 Lasith Malinga, 10 Ajantha Mendis/Rangana Herath, 11 Nuwan Kulasekara

Stats and trivia

* The team winning the toss has elected to bat in 20 out of 21 day-night matches in Dambulla.

Pitch and conditions
The second match will be played on the same pitch used in the opening game. Seamers dominated on Tuesday, but there was sharp spin on offer as well.

Quotes
“I think the history on this ground in 50-50, the team that wins the toss always bats but the win ratio is about 50%. I’m sure if the team that bowls first tomorrow gets a few early wickets and negate a little period, the middle period might be a little different.”
Ross Taylor does not think the toss is such a big factor in Dambulla

“During the day there was more swing, in the night there was more nibble off the track and I think it’s always the nibble off the track that is more difficult to play.”

Twenty20s a chance to gain the edge
Match facts
Monday, July 5 and Tuesday, July 6, Edgbaston
Start time 1700 (1600 GMT)

The Big Picture
Pakistan and Australia will spend the next month battling in the neutral territory of England and this Twenty20 at Edgbaston gives the teams their first glimpse at the opposition. Little is riding on the two-game Twenty20 series, given that it comes barely six weeks after the World Twenty20. But a one-sided contest to either team could provide a morale boost ahead of the two Tests later this month. Australia are coming off a lost ODI series, although they won the final two games, while Pakistan failed in the Asia Cup but also finished on a high when they thrashed Bangladesh.

Any team captained by Shahid Afridi and featuring Shoaib Akhtar cannot fail to fascinate. Akhtar might not have been at his fittest during the Asia Cup, but will the sight of Shaun Tait pressing 160kph spark him back towards his high-speed best? And will Afridi, who led Pakistan to the World Twenty20 semi-finals, find a way to end Pakistan’s losing streak of 12 matches against Australia across all formats?

The last time the teams met, it was a high-class encounter that brought nearly 400 runs and one of the most memorable finishes in the format’s short history, as Michael Hussey drove Australia into the World Twenty20 final. They needed 18 from the last over; Hussey did it with a ball to spare. There’s far less to play for this time, but the result is no doubt burned into the memories of the Pakistan players. Here’s their right of reply.

Form guide (Most recent first)
Australia LWWWW

Pakistan LWLLL

Watch out for
It’s been all about Shaun Tait over the past week, but he’ll be joined in a fierce new-ball attack in Birmingham by Dirk Nannes. There hasn’t been a place in Australia’s one-day line-up for Nannes, so he’s fresh after playing only Twenty20s for Nottinghamshire lately. His left-arm angle and speed always creates headaches and if the batsmen try to see Tait off and attack at the other end, it could spell success for Nannes.

Umar Akmal’s career is still in its infancy, but already he has the respect of the Australian bowlers. One-third of his international matches have been played against Australia and his ability to score quickly makes him especially dangerous in Twenty20s. The last time he met Michael Clarke’s men, he blasted an unbeaten 56 from 35 balls in the World Twenty20 semi-final.

Team news
The loss of Ryan Harris to a knee injury leaves Australia with 13 fit men in their squad, although that’s perhaps not the best way to describe the captain Michael Clarke. He missed the final ODI against England on Saturday with a sore back and although he will probably play on Monday, it’s not locked in yet, and his deputy Cameron White will be waiting for word on whether he will have to step up. The more likely scenario is James Hopes and Steve O’Keefe will sit out and the only change from the World Twenty20 final will be Tim Paine in for Brad Haddin.

Australia (possible) 1 Shane Watson, 2 David Warner, 3 Michael Clarke (capt), 4 David Hussey, 5 Cameron White, 6 Michael Hussey, 7 Tim Paine (wk), 8 Steve Smith, 9 Mitchell Johnson, 10 Dirk Nannes, 11 Shaun Tait.

Pakistan’s batting order is something of a mystery, but expect Shahzaib Hasan to open up with Salman Butt. Umar Gul should make his return from a shoulder injury that has kept him out of international action since Pakistan played England in Dubai in February.

Pakistan (possible) 1 Salman Butt, 2 Shahzaib Hasan, 3 Shoaib Malik, 4 Umar Akmal, 5 Shahid Afridi, 6 Kamran Akmal (wk), 7 Abdur Razzaq, 8 Umar Gul, 9 Shoaib Akhtar, 10 Saeed Ajmal, 11 Mohammad Aamer.

Pitch and conditions
The Edgbaston pitch might offer some turn, which would theoretically favour Pakistan, but there have been some good totals produced in the domestic Twenty20 there this year. If it’s humid – which is a distinct possibility – the ball could swing, which would make Tait, Nannes, Akhtar and Gul very dangerous.

Stats

* Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi are the two leading wicket takers in Twenty20 internationals; Australia’s first entry on the worldwide list is Mitchell Johnson at number eight
* Australia’s top two run scorers in Twenty20s are David Warner and David Hussey, neither of whom currently play for their country in any other format
* The teams have met in five Twenty20s; Pakistan won the first two and Australia have won the past three

Nigeria Vs South Korea Live Streaming online internet broadcast HD quality tv coverage fifa world cup Tuesday 22nd June 2010.

Runners-up spot up for grabs
After a comfortable 2-0 victory against Greece in their opening game, South Korea were brought back down to earth in dramatic fashion by an emphatic defeat to a ruthless Argentina side. Huh Jung-Moo’s players competed well with the South Americans until the third goal was conceded and there was enough to suggest that they can still get through the group with a positive result.

• Park wary of Nigerian power
• Fan blog: A love of African football
• Fan blog: The beginning of the end?

Led by captain Park Ji-Sung, South Korea proved to be an effective outfit against Greece, combining solid defensive organisation with attacking flair through the likes of Lee Chung-Yong Park Chu-Young. The players will be hurting after the Argentina result, but as long as the sound team ethic remains intact, Huh’s side should be able to progress.

Nigeria’s task is simple. They must beat South Korea and hope that Argentina defeat Greece. If that happens, they will progress to the second round on goal difference, a reward of sorts for keeping the deficit against Argentina down to a single goal, while South Korea capitulated. The Super Eagles have a team full of talented individuals and against both Argentina and Greece showed great promise in the attacking third, though the main problem has been finishing the chances that have been created. Lars Lagerback’s side will need to be at their penetrative best to beat South Korea, but will have the support of a continent hoping that Nigeria don’t become the second African side to be eliminated.

South Korea player to watch: Yeom Ki-Hun. One of South Korea’s most dangerous outlets, Kim has proved to be effective as either a left-winger in a 4-4-2 formation or as the left-sided forward in an attacking trio alongside Park Ji-Sung and Park Chu-Young. A tricky player with bags of pace, he will be asked to test the inexperienced Nigeria right-back Samuel Inkoom.

Nigeria player to watch: Vincent Enyeama. Nigeria’s star at the 2010 finals so far, he has been instrumental in keeping the Super Eagles’ defeats respectable, with FIFA naming him man of the match for his displays against both Argentina and Greece. A mistake against the Greeks was overshadowed by numerous other saves and he has displayed consistent catching and shot-stopping ability – as a certain Lionel Messi will testify.

Key Battle: Dickson Etuhu v Kim Jung-Woo. With Sani Kaita suspended, there will be more responsibility for Nigeria’s tough-tackling defensive midfielder Etuhu. He struggled to do the job of two men after Kaita was sent-off against Greece but his athleticism and physicality was impressive against Argentina and he will be charged with stifling Park Ji-Sung and playmaker Kim. A busy central midfielder with a very effective pressing game, Kim has the ability to pick a telling pass and comparisons with Paul Scholes are heightened because of his tendency to be booked for rash challenges.

Trivia: On the day after giving up four goals to Argentina, South Korea goalkeeper Jung Sung-Ryong had some good news: his wife giving birth to their new baby boy.

Stats: South Korea has failed to advance from the group stage six times, the third-highest total in World Cup history. The only teams not to advance as often as South Korea are Scotland (8) and Mexico (7).

Odds: Nigeria (3.75), South Korea (2.60), the draw (3.25) are all on offer at Bet365, while Nigeria to lead at half-time but South Korea to win is at 34.00.

Prediction: South Korea were embarrassed by a hugely talented Argentina side, but proved against Greece that they are capable of winning against a side of lesser quality. Nigeria have flattered to deceive so far and it should be the continent of Asia and not Africa that will have a representative advance to the second round.

Venue: Moses Mabhida Stadium
Kick-off: 19:30
Lagerback confident Eagles can be super

Nigeria coach Lars Lagerback is confident the Super Eagles will finally show their worth in the crucial Group B showdown against South Korea.

The African side goes into the encounter in Durban on the back of two straight defeats in their opening World Cup matches.

“I am very positive about our game,” said Lagerback. “Let’s hope we can show that an African team can play well and get a result.”

Lagerback expects a battle from start to finish against the 2002 semi-finalists, who beat Greece before losing 4-1 to Argentina.

“It’s going to be difficult,” he said. “But this is a World Cup and every game is tough.

“I nevertheless believe we can win. I think the team has the right attitude. We have a really good team and I hope we can show it to the world.”

Despite losses to Greece and Argentina, Lagerback’s men can still qualify for the last 16 provided they beat South Korea and the South Americans take three points from Greece.

“We hope Argentina will help us along the way,” he said. “But we have to concentrate on our game and get a result. As a coach, nothing is impossible and Greece could beat Argentina but really I expect Argentina to win that game.”

Should Nigeria fail, Lagerback has neither confirmed nor denied if this would be his last game in charge of the Super Eagles.

“Every coach always prepares to stay longer in a tournament,” he said.

“We haven’t discussed that between me and the federation. We will see after the World Cup.”

Lagerback has not ruled out making changes to the side that lost 2-1 against Greece.

Nigeria captain Kanu could be given playing time having sat out their opening two matches.

“I could make changes,” he said. “Everybody in the team wants to play this game. Kanu is in the picture and it’s quite possible he could play.”

The former Sweden coach said the team has not been affected by the death threats received by Sani Kaita after he was sent off in the 2-1 defeat to Greece.

“It’s not a good thing,” he said. “I think it’s very sad that this situation comes out.

“But it’s something that we have to handle and I think the players have handled it really well.

“I was also happy to see how the players supported Kaita in the team’s meeting.”

The 61-year-old is confident left-back Taye Taiwo and Uwa Echiejile will feature in the match after both players sustained minor injuries against Greece.

South Korea coach Huh Jung-moo is confident his side can reach the last 16 of the World Cup for the first time on foreign soil.

The Taegeuk Warriors are second in Group B alongside Greece on three points and know that victory over Nigeria would secure a place in the next round provided Greece fail to beat group leaders Argentina in the other pool game.

“We are going to keep an eye on the other match,” said Jung-moo. “But the important thing is for us to play a good game and get a good result.

“Our players up until now have been preparing for the round of 16. We are almost there.

“We have been preparing for this for almost a year. This is the last match before we reach our goal and we are really going to fight hard in order to achieve this.”

South Korea began their campaign with an impressive 2-0 win over Greece, but lost 4-1 to a rampant Argentina on Thursday.

Jung-moo believes his side have not been affected by that heavy loss.

“We are simply looking forward to progressing to the round of 16,” he said. “We left behind us the game against Argentina and our only focus is on beating Nigeria.

“My players are confident and are ready to play this important game. I believe in my players and I think we can do a good job. We have 23 players that have potential and we have a strong idea as to what we as a team have to do to come out triumphant.”

Jung-moo has not ruled out making tactical alterations for the game and said: “We have a different strategy for each match. Perhaps we were a little bit defensive when playing against Argentina.

“But I don’t want my players to focus on just attacking against Nigeria. I want my team to play a balanced game in order to win.”

Jung-moo could give veteran forward Ahn Jung Hwan some playing time against Nigeria.

Ahn, who made a name for himself after scoring the golden goal to eliminate Italy from the last 16 at the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan, has not featured in his team’s first two games in South Africa.Watch Live Streaming online broadcast internet tv fifa world cup Tuesday 15th June 2010.Watch World cup football 2010 live on your pc laptop or mobile devices at a very cheap rate. How can i watch the match Watch Live Streaming online?Watch Live Streaming match with no hassle, easily watch the match Watch Live Streaming.match live feed live blog, commentary, match websites.Which website is the mest for watching the match live online.live feed.barbarians tv live.match wise prediction.broadcast direct.match analysis 1st and 2nd half.wining chances match.Watch in fullscreen and widescreen.wk broadcast.stream wk.Watch the match on your mobile device.Which channels broadcast the match live on internet feed.analysis and prediction. You can tune in and watch live stream streaming online broadcast coverage without the need to miss any of the action,Cup 2010 Highlights, Preview.Watch live highlights. The Big Picture
So far this tour has been a misadventure for India. The experiment with rotation went awry during the tri-series, with the selectors sending a squad unbalanced in both experience and skill. The manner in which they lost their games, especially against the hosts, has led to doubts over the quality of India’s next line of cricketers.

The visitors have two games to salvage the tour, and build some confidence for the players headed to Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup. Can their batsmen shrug away their inhibitions and hit out in IPL-like conditions that won’t test their vulnerability against the short ball? Can their inexperienced fast bowlers pull one back on the Zimbabwe top order that bullied them in the ODIs?

The hosts go into the series with fewer doubts. In the Twenty20 format, against this second-string India outfit, they will believe they are favourites. From the time they shocked Australia in the inaugural World Twenty20, Zimbabwe have been regarded with caution in the shortest format.

Their army of spinners has perfected the art of asphyxiation, and in recent times they have surprised West Indies, followed by victories in 2010 World Twenty20 warm-up games against Australia and Pakistan. Despite being thumped by Sri Lanka in the tri-series final, the hosts are on the ascendancy following their strong show in the league games. If they can trump India again, it will be a major boost to their ongoing quest to reclaim past glory.

The forecast promises clear skies on Saturday, which also plays into Zimbabwe’s hands: their batsmen struggled in overcast conditions during the tri-series, and their spinners are most effective when it is dry. Things could get interesting on Sunday though, with a 40% chance of showers.

Watch out for…
Rohit Sharma’s twin hundreds in the ODIs have silenced some of his critics, but doubts remain over his temperament, fitness and consistency. Runs in this series could go some way in addressing them and in sealing a spot in the starting XI for the Asia Cup.

Brendan Taylor was unstoppable in the tri-series, and will look to loot some more runs over the weekend. The protagonist of Zimbabwe’s finest moment in the Twenty20 format has taken a liking to India’s inexperienced fast bowlers, so the visitors may open with a spinner against him. R Ashwin was impeccable with the new ball in the IPL, and may well be India’s answer to Taylor.

Team news
Somehow, the selectors have managed to make India’s squad even more unbalanced, by including Piyush Chawla at the expense of a fast bowler. India now have four spinners to choose from, in addition to two spinning allrounders, of whom Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha will expect to make the cut. The seamers were uniformly unimpressive in the ODIs, and it could be a toss-up between Umesh Yadav, Ashok Dinda and Pankaj Singh for two spots. Lack of options could force the side to field Dinesh Karthik and Yusuf Pathan, both notable exclusions for the Asia Cup.

India (possible) 1 M Vijay, 2 Dinesh Karthik/Naman Ojha (wk), 3 Suresh Raina (capt), 4 Virat Kohli, 5 Rohit Sharma, 6 Yusuf Pathan, 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 R Ashwin, 9 Pragyan Ojha, 10 and 11 Two out of Ashok Dinda, Umesh Yadav and Pankaj Singh.

Zimbabwe may decide to bench Chris Mpofu and resort to their spin-heavy strategy. In that event, they will like to have Andy Blignaut’s back in the scheme of things.

Zimbabwe (possible) 1 Hamilton Masakadza, 2 Brendan Taylor, 3 Tatenda Taibu (wk) 4 Charles Coventry, 5 Andy Blignaut, 6 Craig Ervine, 7 Elton Chigumbura (capt), 8 Graeme Cremer, 9 Prosper Utseya, 10 Greg Lamb, 11 Ray Price.

Stats and trivia
* This will be the first clash between these two sides in the Twenty20 format. So far India have 12 wins and 11 defeats, while Zimbabwe have only played ten games, winning three of them.
* Suresh Raina is one of only four centurions in T20Is, the others being Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum and Mahela Jayawardene. Of the four, only Raina’s did not come from the opening slot.
