ACL championship battle pits teams from Iran, South Korea
Asia is a fast-moving place and the Asian Champions League is a fast-growing competition. The tournament has come a long way since 1967, when Israel’s Hapoel Tel Aviv reigned. It has also come a long way since the format was revamped in 2003 to resemble its European big brother. There has been the occasional hiccup along the way, but the increase in prize money from $4 million in 2008 to $20 …

Prediction Uruguay vs South Korea – Prediksi Uruguay vs Korea Selatan Prediction

Prediction Uruguay vs South KoreaPrediksi Uruguay vs Korea Selatan Prediction, Four decades of a mediocre Uruguay World Cup. They looked impressive last time at the World Cup in 1970, by reaching the semifinals. Carousel is a regular participant of the Asian World Cup. They performed 11 times, but could only qualifier – even reached the semifinals – as host in 2002. No one believes South Korea will have escaped the group stage when the World Cup was held outside the country. Now the two met to prove how much they are not present in the second half thanks to good luck. They want to go further to eliminate mediocre impression.

Uruguay was the champion Group A, with two victories and one tie. They started the disaster at French camp, to arrest him in the first game.South Korea runner-up Group B with four points. They kick Nigeria, one of the public expectations of Africa in the World Cup in 2010. Korean people usually reluctant to talk about their opportunities, or discuss the following game, but coach Huh Jung-moo said: “We’re looking at opportunities to reach more than half a second.”

According to Huh, the players will not be satisfied merely qualify 16th, as they have worked hard to reach the semifinals. South Korean players obsessed with repeating what he had done in 2002 with Guus Hiddink.

Performance improvement of South Korea showing symptoms, with the versatility of feed, through conviction opponent’s defense, and a healthy lung. But just six goals in lodged into the goalkeeper the last two games, South Korean defense showed brittle.

Contrary to South Korea, Uruguay has not conceded in three games worth of allowance and favored in this fight. They won the group the first time since the World Cup in 1950, or when they became champions.

Uruguay vs South Korea will certainly still lose the winning formation, with Diego Forlan played behind Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavano. This deadly duo tore believed to be South Korean defense.

Midfielder Diego Perez says their current focus is to maintain the libido to attack him, but do not ignore the back-line. South Korea, according to Perez, is believed to be playing loose and attacking from all positions.

“Korea is the hope of Asia, the world’s most populous continent,” said Perez.

Uruguay, according to Perez, has so far proved as a team with the strongest back line and capable of attacking. He is convinced his team will be able to maintain this balance.

“For a long time we waited for the chance to play in the second half. Now, we want to enjoy it. We want to pass through South Korean” Perez concluded.

Watch Korea Republic vs Greece Live Stream on 12/06 13:00 in Nelson Mandela Bay/Port Elizabeth

The last time the Greeks took part in a World Cup, they were the last to finish among 24 teams. This time it might not happen since they have a solid chance at advancing. The Greece national football team represents Greece in international football and the Hellenic Football Federation is its controlling body. Greece spent most of their history in virtual anonymity. It only participated twice in the final tournaments of the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA European Championship, in 1994 and 1980 respectively. While South Korea’s World Cup experience in 2002 where they were co-hosts, they registered a 3-2-2 mark and ended up in fourth surprising. They were 1-11-5 in two other cup competitions.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is the venue of their match. It is set on the shores of the North End Lake. It is the first stadium dedicated for football in the city or surrounding areas. The stadium is newly-built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It was finished a year prior to the start of the world’s greatest show on earth. This was a major milestone for the city. This Stadium will host the match for third place and a quarter-final in the middle of a total of eight matches during the FIFA World Cup. It has an eye-catching unique roof-structure and a spectacular view, that over looks the North End Lake. Before the construction of the venue, The EPRU Stadium or Eastern Province rugby stadium was the venue of all international football matches. The playing field is made of natural grass with the outer /surrounding area to be artificial turf. The first major test events was the Soweto Derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. This is the game that attracts a lot of crowds in South Africa.

On record, the two teams played each other only one with Argentina winning over Greece by four goals to zero.

The Korea Republic national football team is Daehanminguk Chukgu Gukgadaepyo-Team. It represents the country in international football competitions. The team, also named South Korea, is acknowledged as Korea Republic by FIFA. It is also believed to be Asia’s most victorious national team, since it started at the Summer Olympics of 1948. Being a two-time straight AFC Asian Cup champion, South Korea has gotten involved with seven World Cup final tournaments and happened to be the first and only Asian team to reach the semi-finals. When it co-hosted the 2002 FIFA World Cup with Japan, it became qualified for its eighth World Cup final tournament, The 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Runners-up spot up for grabs
After a comfortable 2-0 victory against Greece in their opening game, South Korea were brought back down to earth in dramatic fashion by an emphatic defeat to a ruthless Argentina side. Huh Jung-Moo’s players competed well with the South Americans until the third goal was conceded and there was enough to suggest that they can still get through the group with a positive result.

• Park wary of Nigerian power
• Fan blog: A love of African football
• Fan blog: The beginning of the end?

Led by captain Park Ji-Sung, South Korea proved to be an effective outfit against Greece, combining solid defensive organisation with attacking flair through the likes of Lee Chung-Yong Park Chu-Young. The players will be hurting after the Argentina result, but as long as the sound team ethic remains intact, Huh’s side should be able to progress.

Nigeria’s task is simple. They must beat South Korea and hope that Argentina defeat Greece. If that happens, they will progress to the second round on goal difference, a reward of sorts for keeping the deficit against Argentina down to a single goal, while South Korea capitulated. The Super Eagles have a team full of talented individuals and against both Argentina and Greece showed great promise in the attacking third, though the main problem has been finishing the chances that have been created. Lars Lagerback’s side will need to be at their penetrative best to beat South Korea, but will have the support of a continent hoping that Nigeria don’t become the second African side to be eliminated.

South Korea player to watch: Yeom Ki-Hun. One of South Korea’s most dangerous outlets, Kim has proved to be effective as either a left-winger in a 4-4-2 formation or as the left-sided forward in an attacking trio alongside Park Ji-Sung and Park Chu-Young. A tricky player with bags of pace, he will be asked to test the inexperienced Nigeria right-back Samuel Inkoom.

Nigeria player to watch: Vincent Enyeama. Nigeria’s star at the 2010 finals so far, he has been instrumental in keeping the Super Eagles’ defeats respectable, with FIFA naming him man of the match for his displays against both Argentina and Greece. A mistake against the Greeks was overshadowed by numerous other saves and he has displayed consistent catching and shot-stopping ability – as a certain Lionel Messi will testify.

Key Battle: Dickson Etuhu v Kim Jung-Woo. With Sani Kaita suspended, there will be more responsibility for Nigeria’s tough-tackling defensive midfielder Etuhu. He struggled to do the job of two men after Kaita was sent-off against Greece but his athleticism and physicality was impressive against Argentina and he will be charged with stifling Park Ji-Sung and playmaker Kim. A busy central midfielder with a very effective pressing game, Kim has the ability to pick a telling pass and comparisons with Paul Scholes are heightened because of his tendency to be booked for rash challenges.

Trivia: On the day after giving up four goals to Argentina, South Korea goalkeeper Jung Sung-Ryong had some good news: his wife giving birth to their new baby boy.

Stats: South Korea has failed to advance from the group stage six times, the third-highest total in World Cup history. The only teams not to advance as often as South Korea are Scotland (8) and Mexico (7).

Odds: Nigeria (3.75), South Korea (2.60), the draw (3.25) are all on offer at Bet365, while Nigeria to lead at half-time but South Korea to win is at 34.00.

Prediction: South Korea were embarrassed by a hugely talented Argentina side, but proved against Greece that they are capable of winning against a side of lesser quality. Nigeria have flattered to deceive so far and it should be the continent of Asia and not Africa that will have a representative advance to the second round.

Lagerback confident Eagles can be super

Nigeria coach Lars Lagerback is confident the Super Eagles will finally show their worth in the crucial Group B showdown against South Korea.

The African side goes into the encounter in Durban on the back of two straight defeats in their opening World Cup matches.

“I am very positive about our game,” said Lagerback. “Let’s hope we can show that an African team can play well and get a result.”

Lagerback expects a battle from start to finish against the 2002 semi-finalists, who beat Greece before losing 4-1 to Argentina.

“It’s going to be difficult,” he said. “But this is a World Cup and every game is tough.

“I nevertheless believe we can win. I think the team has the right attitude. We have a really good team and I hope we can show it to the world.”

Despite losses to Greece and Argentina, Lagerback’s men can still qualify for the last 16 provided they beat South Korea and the South Americans take three points from Greece.

“We hope Argentina will help us along the way,” he said. “But we have to concentrate on our game and get a result. As a coach, nothing is impossible and Greece could beat Argentina but really I expect Argentina to win that game.”

Should Nigeria fail, Lagerback has neither confirmed nor denied if this would be his last game in charge of the Super Eagles.

“Every coach always prepares to stay longer in a tournament,” he said.

“We haven’t discussed that between me and the federation. We will see after the World Cup.”

Lagerback has not ruled out making changes to the side that lost 2-1 against Greece.

Nigeria captain Kanu could be given playing time having sat out their opening two matches.

“I could make changes,” he said. “Everybody in the team wants to play this game. Kanu is in the picture and it’s quite possible he could play.”

The former Sweden coach said the team has not been affected by the death threats received by Sani Kaita after he was sent off in the 2-1 defeat to Greece.

“It’s not a good thing,” he said. “I think it’s very sad that this situation comes out.

“But it’s something that we have to handle and I think the players have handled it really well.

“I was also happy to see how the players supported Kaita in the team’s meeting.”

The 61-year-old is confident left-back Taye Taiwo and Uwa Echiejile will feature in the match after both players sustained minor injuries against Greece.

South Korea coach Huh Jung-moo is confident his side can reach the last 16 of the World Cup for the first time on foreign soil.

The Taegeuk Warriors are second in Group B alongside Greece on three points and know that victory over Nigeria would secure a place in the next round provided Greece fail to beat group leaders Argentina in the other pool game.

“We are going to keep an eye on the other match,” said Jung-moo. “But the important thing is for us to play a good game and get a good result.

“Our players up until now have been preparing for the round of 16. We are almost there.

“We have been preparing for this for almost a year. This is the last match before we reach our goal and we are really going to fight hard in order to achieve this.”

South Korea began their campaign with an impressive 2-0 win over Greece, but lost 4-1 to a rampant Argentina on Thursday.

Jung-moo believes his side have not been affected by that heavy loss.

“We are simply looking forward to progressing to the round of 16,” he said. “We left behind us the game against Argentina and our only focus is on beating Nigeria.

“My players are confident and are ready to play this important game. I believe in my players and I think we can do a good job. We have 23 players that have potential and we have a strong idea as to what we as a team have to do to come out triumphant.”

Jung-moo has not ruled out making tactical alterations for the game and said: “We have a different strategy for each match. Perhaps we were a little bit defensive when playing against Argentina.

“But I don’t want my players to focus on just attacking against Nigeria. I want my team to play a balanced game in order to win.”

Jung-moo could give veteran forward Ahn Jung Hwan some playing time against Nigeria.

Ahn, who made a name for himself after scoring the golden goal to eliminate Italy from the last 16 at the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan, has not featured in his team’s first two games in South Africa.Watch Live Streaming online broadcast internet tv fifa world cup Tuesday 15th June 2010.Watch World cup football 2010 live on your pc laptop or mobile devices at a very cheap rate. How can i watch the match Watch Live Streaming online?Watch Live Streaming match with no hassle, easily watch the match Watch Live Streaming.match live feed live blog, commentary, match websites.Which website is the mest for watching the match live online.live feed.barbarians tv live.match wise prediction.broadcast direct.match analysis 1st and 2nd half.wining chances match.Watch in fullscreen and widescreen.wk broadcast.stream wk.Watch the match on your mobile device.Which channels broadcast the match live on internet feed.analysis and prediction. You can tune in and watch live stream streaming online broadcast coverage without the need to miss any of the action,Cup 2010 Highlights, Preview.Watch live highlights. World Cup legend: Hong Myung-Bo played in four consecutive tournaments from 1990 to 2002, captaining the side in their World Cup on home soil and being named the third best player of that tournament.

The story so far: The South Koreans are the powerhouses of Asia when it comes to World Cups, having qualified for the past six tournaments leading into 2010, and seven in total. Qualifying for Switzerland 1954 was in itself was a solid achievement, but their campaign was ultimately unsuccessful.

South Korea struggled in all of their subsequent appearances until 2002 when the nation co-hosted the finals with Japan. Guus Hiddink worked his managerial magic as they progressed through the group stage by beating Poland and Portugal before eliminating Italy with a golden goal and then Spain on penalties in an unlikely march to the semi-finals.

Qualification: South Korea qualified comfortably through the tougher of two final groups in the Asian zone, confirming their status as a true heavyweight of the confederation alongside emerging Japan and new arrivals Australia. Having come through the previous group with neighbours North Korea undefeated, they remained unbeaten through the final round, beating traditional qualifiers Saudi Arabia away and conceding just four goals in eight games. Coach Huh Jung-Moo will be the first local to guide the team to the finals since 1998.

Qualifying record (final group stage): P8, W4, D4, L0, F12, A4, Pts16.

Most appearances: Lee Chung-Yong, Lee Keun-Ho, Kim Dong-Jin, Ki Sung-Yeung, Park Ji-Sung (7).

The road to South Africa
Korea Republic may have qualified for their seventh consecutive world finals, but it was a bumpy ride this time. Despite a series of lacklustre performances in the third round, the South Koreans managed to top their group after two goalless draws with neighbours Korea DPR. The North Koreans proved to be their nemesis again in the final round, holding the Taeguk Warriors to a 1-1 stalemate in Shanghai. However, they bounced back in style with back-to-back wins over United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, before a crucial 1-1 draw with Iran in Tehran. A 1-0 home victory in the Korean derby followed, and the mission was accomplished with a 2-0 win against UAE on the road.

The star players
Park Ji-Sung has played a key role in Korea Republic’s two previous FIFA World Cup campaigns and established himself as the captain of his country in recent years. The multifunctional winger of Manchester United is now an indispensible member of the Taeguk Warriors, with his ability to create space and chances for his team-mates.

A clinical forward, Park Chu-Young is widely tipped as the one to solve the problem in front of goal. After a below-par performance against Switzerland at Germany 2006, the Monaco marksman is eager to redeem himself in the national team as the No10 prepares for his second appearance at the showpiece event at the age of 24.

The coach
The appointment of Huh Jung-Moo in December 2007 put an end to the Dutch influence under the likes of Guus Hiddink and Dick Advocaat. Despite a sluggish start in the Asian Zone qualifying, the former Korea Republic midfielder silenced his critics by guiding his experimental side into the finals with two games to spare.

Having scored a goal against Italy at Mexico 1986, he is no stranger to this stage as he also took part in Italy 1990 and USA 1994 as fitness trainer and assistant coach respectively. Huh was an interim coach of Korea Republic twice before, and led the U-23 side at the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament Sydney 2000.

Previous FIFA World Cups
Although Korea Republic were the first team to represent Asia at the FIFA World Cup in 1954, it took more than three decades for them to make their second appearance at Mexico 1986. While the South Koreans have become regulars to the tournament since then, a victory in the competition remaining elusive until 2002, when the co-hosts got off to a winning start with a 2-0 reverse of Poland, before beating Portugal 1-0 to reach the second round. They went on to defeat Italy and Spain to advance to the semi-finals, where they lost 1-0 to Germany. But their subsequent journey to Germany four years later came to a premature end, as the Taeguk Warriors made an early exit from the group stage.
